Hotel Claska is a beautiful design boutique hotel in the Meguro neighborhood of Tokyo. For all its quirks and beauty Tokyo doesn't have very many off the beaten track hotels. I am not sure if it's because space is so limited, or because of location. But this was a refreshing treat after the bustle of Shibuya hotels and I do miss the Japan that isn't Shibuya. I must be getting old.

Tokyo today was a beautiful 66 degrees, the best day.

Tonite we went to Onsen, I have no pictures of that, since it's a traditional public bath full of naked women, but I will attempt to illustrate it later. Nothing was lovelier than sitting in a giant ceramic tub with hot mineral water and salt lamps in the outside night sky, conversating with Saya.

Life is really amazing and strange and wild. 

Whenever I tell people where I am from they always say "why are you here?"

And why am I still here?

Lately I've been playing the friend card shuffle, and people in Philadelphia might be my favorite people in the world. Maybe you don't live here, or are from here, but I met you while I lived here which makes this place the coolest. 

Sure our subway makes no sense, and it's cold and there is trash everywhere. 

But everyone I've ever met here, even the wierd awkward ones that may not even like me...
