Philly is a total babe

I decided that people that hate on Philly need a city to feed them fun, sometimes I forget once spring hits, its like 360 babetown. Girl got there legs out, people are nice, beer cans get popped open on the reg, and the city is awesome. Hung out at the Memphis Taproom beer garden. Philly never looked so fine.  Quotes of the day:

" Cool and Cooler, taken over one heart at a time " - Gi Face

" Commit to the bag, but girl it's spring, don't commit to anything else. " - Cool girl at UrbanOutfittes cash register

To both those things I say "word".

My House Gallery

" Where it Begins and Where it Ends" is a group show I will be participating in at the My House Gallery at 2534 S 8th to be exact.

The opening is May 13th, I won't get to be there because I will be roadtrippin' through the desert to wash my brain out.

But I will try to swindle everyone into a closing. But please do go because a huge part of my work are the thoughts and doodles that I can't help but write down. So there will be a great collecton of the stuff that doesn't get seen when the finished show goes up. Below are some process photos and a few doodles.

Correction the opening is May 14th, XO Oh and my dear friend Jess Gary will be in town, and I dont get to be, if you see her let her know how cool Philly is.

The Red Spectre

Sometimes life gets you really jaded about the world, and you think nothing is amazing. But that is because you live in a bubble that is your own comfortable routine. The brain won't react unless it is in a new situation. Such is our evolution as modern peeps. When learning something new or finding something new sometimes the brain gets mad, it doesn't like not being good at something. So it tricks you into being upset so you won't do it anymore. But how will you ever learn?

Ramblings.

This sparked my happiness today, re-posted from the NYT blog:

This exclusive clip is from Segundo de Chomon’s 1907 film “The Red Spectre,” which is part of the Fashion and Film Festival. The coloring was done in 1907, by hand-stenciling. It will be screened at the Museum of Moving Image through April 24 and at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York on April 19 and May 2

Kiss Each Other Clean

I really love this Iron and Wine Album cover for "Kiss Each Other Clean"

This is Iron and Wine listening weather right now I suppose.

Thick grey clouds and steady rain that is changing my mood as of late.

I just went from Bunny Chau to Dopey Chau.

When all my friends just jumped on a plane to L.A. I could use a shot of sunshine.

I might hide in the studio tonite, to put on paper what my heart wonders.
